4 stars for first book, 2 stars for second book and 3 stars for last one.* Rise and Fall of the Ottoman Empire.Fast paced, entertaining and tragic. The world was changing but still that part of the world was potent and is an intense piece of history that maybe we are not taught enough. This was a good little piece of information.* The Fall of Constantinople.The style of narration didn't work for me: The author tries to rely in irony and in a more informal description: he repeats so much "more about that later," twice in one single page. It seems like this book is trying hard to be entertaining for readers that dislike history or to read, so it tries to be a youtube video rather than historic description.* Life of Suleiman the Magnificent.This book has a bit too the casual tone of the previous one, but it has been watered down a bit. I prefer more the style of narration of the first one where the history is the main character rather than the narrator. But here still we have the points of views of the author tainting the nature of the past with points of view of today. I mean the judgement of Suleiman as a father and a friend. Still it was a useful book that encouraged me to search more.Asimov's "Constantinople: the forgotten empire" is not directly related to the topics of this book, but if you decide to get deeper in what Constantinople meant and why was so important for the Ottoman empire then that book is extraordinary.
